History of JIL-KKB Movement, Bayambang Chapter

The KKB Movement of Bayambang has been started a long time since the church has welcomed young people in the ministry. They started to emerge as small-group of young men and women who use to hold Bible studies in their houses. The younger brothers of Ptr. Bert Macaraeg namely Bro. Arnold and Bro. Marlon are one of the pioneers. They led several active youths in becoming stage and dance performers, wherein everybody enjoys. The trends in music and dance have made them more enthusiastic in worship.

Unfortunately, through the passing of times, many of these youths have became inactive, some became just churchgoers. The Church has regretted losing these precious young people...

But the time when the Church has moved to it's newly owned lot at Barangay Telbang, the Youth fellowship has begun living again.

Now, the KKB Movement is striving to go hand-in-hand with the Church's vision and mission by inviting many youth and empowering every member. Now, under the leadership of Sis. Bernadette Pacubas, more than thirty KKBs are regularly meeting for their very own Sunday service. With the advent of today's tech-generation, the KKBs are voluntarily moving forward to create such impact in the Church and in their community.

The KKB movement in Bayambang has once again regained its power to its active ministry this year. From few youth friends who use to attend the Sunday worship service, there are now about twenty dedicated KKB youth who regularly attend not just the first Sunday service but the second Sunday service as well, known as the KKB service.
The officials of this movement is deciding to gather more often during weekdays to have their jamming-practice. They have started to meet during Wednesdays. This coming month, they are planning to print their very own KKB T-shirt.

Core Values

Passionate Love for God
If anyone comes to me and does not hate his father & mother, his wife & children, his brothers & sisters-yes, even his own life-he cannot be my disciple. And anyone who does not carry his cross and follow me cannot be my disciple. any of you who does not give up everything he has cannot be my disciple. (Luke 14:26, 27, 33)

Love & Compassion for Others
If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. (1 Corinthians 13:2)

Integrity
But you, O Lord, have mercy on me; raise me up, that I may repay them. I know that you are pleased with me, for my enemy does not triumph over me. In my integrity you uphold me and set me in your presence forever. (Psalm 41:10-12)

Faithfulness
His master replied, "Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your Master's happiness." (Matthew 25:21)

Excellence
Then this Daniel distinguished himself above the governors and satraps because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king gave thought to setting him over the realm. (Daniel 6:3 NKJV)

Statement of Faith

1. HOLY SCRIPTURES
All scriptures is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. (2 Timothy 3:16-17)

2. THE ETERNAL GOD HEAD
For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.(1 John 5:7-8 KJV)

3. THE FALL OF MAN
Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all men, because all sinned. (Romans 5:12)

4. THE PLAN OF REDEMPTION
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. (John 3:16)

5. SALVATION THROUGH GRACE
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith-and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God-not by works, so that no one can boast. (Ephesians 2:8-9)

6. REPENTANCE & ACCEPTANCE
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. (1 John 1:9) Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God. (John 1:12)

7. NEW BIRTH
In reply Jesus declared, "I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again." (John 3:3)

8. WATER BAPTISM AND THE LORD'S SUPPER
We were therefore buried with Him through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life. (Romans 6:4) For I received from the Lord what I also passed on to you: The Lord Jesus.took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, "This is my body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of me." In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me." For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord's death until he comes. (1 Corinthians 11:23-26)

9. BAPTISM IN THE HOLY SPIRIT
All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them. (Acts 2:4)

10. THE GIFTS AND FRUITS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit. There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. There are different kinds of working, but the same God works all of them in all men. (1 Corinthians 12:4-6) But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. (Galatians 5:22-23)

11. DIVINE HEALING
Is anyone of you sick? He should call the elders of the church to pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faithfulness will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up. If he has sinned, he will be forgiven.

12. THE SECOND COMING OF CHRIST
For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with aloud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17)

13. TITHES AND OFFERINGS
"Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this," says the Lord Almighty, " and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it." (Malachi 3:10)

JIL Bayambang History

The town of Bayambang is the Central Part of Southern Pangasinan. It has an estimated Population of 112,238 inhabitants with a total number of 20,425 households. It is the 3rd to the largest number of population and 2nd to the largest number of voters in the central plain of Pangasinan. It is composed of seventy seven (77) Barangays and was classified as First Class Municipality with a huge potential to become a prime city in the near future.

The Jesus Is Lord Church Bayambang Chapter was started in 1989 at Brgy. Telbang which was pioneered by Ptr. Jun Villanueva. It was started in a small Bible Study with 10 members. In one year time, the Bible Study became a Sunday Worship Service and it was moved in the Old Practical Arts Building of Bayambang Central School, with a monthly rental of P100.00. After a year, the said building was demolished. So the Sunday Worship Service needs to transfer out under the Star Apple Tree. Inspite of the heat of the sun and rain, the congregations are still eager to serve the Lord. There faith were never moved by the circumstances. In year 1992, Ptr. Conrado “Bong” Nicolas took over the Sunday Worship Service. During the year 1992-1993, Ptr. Domingo Mendoza led the Sunday Worship Service and year 1994 it was succeeded by Ptr. Eduardo Bautista. In June 1, 1994, former Ptra. Lourdes “Lulu” Cunanan, who is now Macaraeg took care of the flocks. December 22, 1994, from the church without a roof, the Sunday Worship Service was moved to RMV Building with three (3) stories, located at M.H. Del Pilar St., Bayambang with a monthly rental of P 2,000,00.

September 1997, an unexpected event ever not to forget happened when Ptra. Lourdes Cunanan and 13 other brethren met a vehicular accident at Brgy. Telbang. Seven (7) were hospitalized including Charie I. Abalos Church Secretary who died in Villaflor Hospital, with this incident, JIL Main Office gave a support of P10, 000.00 and JIL Dagupan was also used by God as a channel of blessings because of their untiring and un compromised support. December 24, 1996, during the 1st Annual Pangasinan Workers Appreciation and Recognition Day. Ptra. Lourdes M. Cunanan was awarded as the Area Town Pastor of the year, December 29, 1997, the same activity JIL-Bayambang received the award such as; Best in Record Management, Best in Attendance, Conqueror Award, Church Growth Achiever of the year 1997, and the Area Town Pastor of the year, this is for the Glory of God. In addition, Bautista the neighboring town of Bayambang was reached out and had initiated a Sunday Service in Pogo Elementary School, Brgy. Pogo, Bautista.

After 4 years of staying at RMV Building, the leadership decided to transfer the Sunday Worship Service in a bigger place to accommodate 100 members. In November 1, 1998, Municipal Kgwd. Leonilda “Maring” Limpingco offered her place to be rented amounting of P6,000.00 monthly, located at Zone I Poblacion Sur, Bayambang behind the Camiling Rural Bank. We stayed there for almost 5 years, and we asked Municipal Kgwd. Limpingco to renew our contract. Unfortunately, she didn’t approved our request. We made another request for 3 months extension but after a weekthey get the key and told us that the place has already sold out. They pressured us to leave the place immediately. Because of this incident, the leaders and workers together with Ptra. Lulu and Ptr. Bert Macaraeg prayed and fasted. They had a vision to buy a lot for church.

God answered our prayers through the life of Sis. Soledad Ballesteros who owned 2,000 sq. m. lot with a land title at Telbang Dike Bayambang,
She gave the lot at 300 pesos per square meter, a total of P600, 000.00 “Rent to Owned”, with monthly rental of P10,000.00. We started the Sunday Worship Service in the first Sunday of January 2004 up to this present.

worship center

Presently, we have eleven (11) cell groups, two (2) Sunday Worship Services and one (1) extension Sunday Worship Service. We have now an ongoing church building construction and a pastoral parsonage with two stories. We had also cemented the church pathway. Our church leader known as “achiever”. They worked hard to finish the project they started. We are the first who implemented the JIL-12 entire JIL Pangasinan. Presently, Ptra. Lourdes C. Macaraeg is the assigned church pastor.

    Why blog?

The idea of creating a church blog has started when some of our church members who went abroad the country requested that our church photos be uploaded on the Internet so that they could still see the faces of their friends and churchmates. In response, the MIS (Management Information System) ministry of our church conceptualized this idea by starting a church blog using the Google's Blogger.com. With the help of our passionate computer savvy churchmates, as well as the real bloggers, we were able to design this project. Initially, the account was created by authenticlloyd since October 2008. Without further knowledge about customizing the blog layout, he put the project aside. It was not until September 15, 2009 that he updated the content as well as enhanced the design.

We believe that a blog is a powerful tool in sharing stories of people, events, and beginnings. Furthermore, we can tell the unchanging gospel and love of God to the world by sharing His abundant blessings to our congregation. We pray that through this blog you, and your church as well, will be inspired to tell the world that Jesus Christ, who lived and died for us, is Lord over all.

    God bless you!
